Thought i'd treat myself and swap the newer LG smart tv from the bedroom while the misses was out with my old cheapo tesco tecknika gaming tv.

Wow never realised input lag made so much difference i was getting slaughtered on the LG tv. Measured it and it has a input lag higher than 100ms! and thats in gaming/pc mode. It did look loverly though.

Damn PS4 is costing me loads killzone bundle, bf4, ghosts, ps+ and now itching for a new TV.

I don't want to hear this! So close to (re)ordering a 55" W905. 10ms input lag. Does it really make a lot of difference?

That's why I make sure I buy a decent set whenever I get a new TV.

Sony's new LCDs are the best for gaming. Otherwise panny or Sammy plasmas
 
Anyone know how reliable amazon order status is. Been on dispatching g now for few hours. Wonder if it had been dispatched already but haven't updated yet.
 
I swear when I'm playing Ghosts what I see in the replays don't reflect what I see on screen. I've got an ancient Toshiba 42" LCD.
 
Well I've contacted Gamestop about one of my analogue sticks wearing away in less than a week and they have ignored three emails from me. Not even acknowledgment of receipt. Phone call tomorrow then.
 
My LG 50PZ570T is good but I always end up using my Dell U2713HM. I haven't played on the big telly since they day I got the PS4. Think I'll try it again and see if I notice a difference.

That's due to the crappy old engine and lagg compensation system in place.

That's why I am refusing to buy cod from now on, they keep rehashing the same stuff making it worse than before.

The engine was never designed to be used for this long.
 
My PS4 is dead, won't switch on at all. All I get is a a quick blue light and nothing else. It's been fine since launch. Was getting into knack, now disk won't even eject as the machine is dead.

Hold power on the machine, will it reach safe mode?

The only problem I've had is I found an issue where if you press the eject button at a certain point during boot nothing ejects, but when the machine is booted it doesn't know there's a disc in the tray and won't eject.

Power off the PS4 by holding down the power button for several seconds. You will hear a beep and see the power light turn red.

Power on the PS4 by holding the power button down and keeping it held down. You will hear an initial beep when you press the power button. Wait about 7 seconds until you hear a second beep.

Once you hear the second beep, release the power button and the Safe Mode screens should appear. You will need to connect your DualShock 4 controller via a USB cable to the PS4 since Bluetooth is not active when in Safe Mode.

Regular warranty. We are covered by the Sale of Goods act anyway in the event that it fails after the first year (it can be quite easily argued that the console should last longer than a year).

Been playing a bit of Knack last night and certainly feel that some of the reviews have been too harsh. It is never going to set the world on fire but it is a solid Platformer that looks great. A solid 6/10 for me.

A couple of things I did note though:

- Playing as "Big Kack" is fun, but "Little Knack" is a pain in the proverbial. I think I had to replay a few sections as I kept dying due to ranged attacks from goblins (archers). Maybe I am rusty with this sort of game but I found it quite unforgiving (and I am not having any real issue with the likes of Killzone..:confused:).

- Remote play worked so well that I thought the Vita was playing the game natively. This wasn't a problem until I remembered that I was actually using remote play, and Knack is a PS4 launch title. No doubt the Vita would struggle with the game as it stands natively, but with a few tweaks it could very well be a Vita game.
