i managed to rub off the left thumbstick on 3 of my ps3 controllers but it took several months/years to do so.

in fact i think it was fifa in particular which caused it.

i bought replacements off ebay for pennies and replaced them myself, very easy to do on the ps3 controllers.

if it's worn off after a matter of weeks then that is a serious design flaw. all of you should be complaining directly to sony so they fix it, not the retailers.

I have both and I don't think the size difference is that bad TBH. The XB1 is definitely bigger, but it runs so quiet it's at least putting that size to good use.

Indeed, my XO is noticeably cooler and quieter than my PS4 in the same environment, and the size isn't really an issue at all anyway.
 
I cant even hear my PS4 when a games booted up properly, initial load up is slightly louder but once cruise control kicks in its virtually silent.

because your country is it's own independent nation which makes it's own laws and regulations.

in america they have guns but we don't over here.

Indeed, if it wasn't for the glowing Xbox logo I wouldn't be able to tell if my Xbone was actually on. This is the same idle or after a couple of hours of DR3.

My PS4 is every so slightly audible whilst idle and has a noticable (but not intrusive) fan noise when gaming for a prolonged period.

Here are some comparison photos of my Red, Blue and Black Dualshocks. I tried to get them in natural light in the window, this shows best the colour blue and red. These colours appear much more pastel when using a flash like I did in the photos beside the PS4. As you can see, the blue is much more ultramarine in natural light.

Also included a close up of wear on the thumbstick :(

I was sat on my computer with the Stock check open in a tab. Alarm went off, literally had a bundle in my basket in seconds on ASDA. Got through to the payment and said the required quantity was not available. I am going to give up trying to buy on line. Giving me false hope!

You can't say almost the same spec, that is a ridiculous statement tbh. The PS4's GPU is almost twice as powerful, along with having 8GB's of DDR5 VS 8GB of DDR3... The design of the PlayStation is superior in that it's smaller with the power supply being internal, it's quite a feat of engineering, to run as quiet and cool as it does.

In comparison, the Xbox One is very large, especially when you consider the power supply is external. The reason Microsoft chose an overly large design for the launch console revision, is to combat chances of failure. I.e they don't want RROD again. So these launch consoles should be good for the whole lifespan of Xbox One 5-6 years.. Future One consoles will be far smaller / sleaker, obviously when more advanced die shrinks can be utilized.
 
Daamn you amazon. My bundle is in transit very close to my house. Yet it's scheduled for tomorrow's delivery :(.

Does anyone know if amazon logestics collects from the depot in the afternoon? Or is it just the morning?

That is the point i was making in my post, the GPU and RAM diffrences dont justify they extra size of the xbox, and i hadn't even thought of the power supply.
we are saying the same thing, your'e just saying it better lol;)
