Pfft if she was a 27 year old fast food worker, there would have been no problem. But because she's a teacher she's a sex offender?

I know the whole position of power argument, but still...
 
My Geography teacher quit his job, left his wife of 20+ years and 3 kids for a girl in my class. They are now married and seem, from what I can tell from facebook anyway, extremely happy together. Must be something in the Scottish water.

There are always more to these stories that you read in the papers.

It isn't.

Unless the elder one is in a position of trust like, say, a teacher.

While this could be genuine, it is in these scenarios that some children can be easily groomed/manipulated and that is why there are rules against it.

Although the referral to ministers is required, I can't see her being barred from working with children as the boy was 17 and it was consensual. She may get back into teaching - she'll just have her criminal record and GTC suspension to carry on her CV...
