Caught Speeding - Expected Punishment?

When I got caught, I got the speed awareness course.. that I had to pay £85 to attend.. That was in a girl's netball club hall... Talk about degrading! :p

Yup! Not sure why they target some places all the time, and others not at all.

I've driven from Cardiff to London more times than I care to remember, and the only camera van I've ever seen was just before the Severn Bridge toll (50mph zone). I could probably count the number of times I've seen it on one hand.

I guess its a good revenue generation unit, as it targets the short 50 limit section on an otherwise very fast and uncongested part of an already fast motorway. They must catch so many people.
