In 2007 I did lots of bonus bagging. Made lots, then got greedy and lost it all.
Terms and conditions make it no longer worth the time investment.

Matched betting afaik is still fair game.
There is a big thread for it, but I am fully aware of how to do it.

Does anyone bother with it anymore?

Used to a couple of years ago but it started to become more hassle than it was worth for little profit unless you have a massive bankroll.

Id say go for it, especially if you havent signed up to many if any of the sportsbooks... its still easy enough to turn most of the bonuses back out.

Some require higher odds so you need a bit more in Betfair to lay etc and some want the bonus turned 3x etc... but in the main (especially the more well known bookies) you will be able to get in and out with that bonus without too much hassle.

I don't bother because I've already signed up to most of the major bookies, and by and large the online markets are fairly 'efficient' these days and thus it is quite hard to find any significant arbitrage.

I did combine it with some bonus bagging at first but after a while I came to the conclusion that I was better off just using the bonuses 'normally' i.e. sacrificing the guarenteed profit for the potential to make bigger winnings. Obviously, this only makes sense if you are interested in betting rather than purely using it risk-free.

As an aside while most people use exchanges like Betfair to lay bets it is worth noting that for football at least you can essentially lay some markets directly with the bookies e.g. using Double Chance to lay a winner previously backed. www.oddschecker.com is a good resource for finding the best odds in such cases.

Yep.

There is still plenty of money to be made out there. I've cleared £1k a month for the last few months and others make more than that.
What time investment is required? What site do you use for a list of all bookies to rinse?
I closed all my accounts several years ago have since moved house with a new card so I am a brand new customer.
I've bought my first home this year so plenty of time as always broke.
