*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

I don't feel comfortable doing that and for the controller to be broken after probably 6 hours usage is a bit crap on the quality front.

I have emailed the guy mentioned above.

It seemed to be left over residue from the manufacturing. I would tend to agree but dint want to be messing about with returns and all that jaz around xmas

packing my old ps3 up last night, went to use the ds3 to format the wipe the system as its sold, boy the ds3 felt offensive after using the ds4. The ds4 is just miles ahead in comfort its so untrue... impressive gamepad the ds4. I now prefer it over the 360 pad, and I did like my 360 pad over on the pc..

Ok I just tried to fix my ds4 r1 sticking. Pretty easy to fix but my trigger poped off.

So after I put it all back together. I started to notice not a lot of resistance in the right trigger.

Opened it up again to check and noticed that there was a tiny little spring missing....

Spent an hour with a torch trying to find it in the carpet with no luck. Was bout to give up and spotted that it somehow got stuck to the side of my chair :D.

So be careful if you decide to try and fix yours

How did you pop It off did you have to dismantle the controller or just prise something under it? Can you also put it back on without dismantling it? Lastly residue? I thought it was catching on the body of the controller.. Hmm not sure whether to send mine back or not it sounds a mass problem so a replacement would be the

Edit emailed the above fella, also emailed gamestop it's not acceptable

Had to take the back off and unhook the ribbon.

Then you can push the r1/l1 out with a screw driver. The triggers are the really the only thing to watch out for when taking the back off.
The white stuff was hard to see. Am not sure if it's enough to cause the problem but I just wiped round there with a cloth on the tip of the screw driver. It's not sticking anymore.

It would be very hard for anyone to know if you had opened it IMHO as I never saw any stickers or seals

I see I've read comments on youtube vids that you don't even need to take the back of and you can just pop the button out with something wanted someone to confirm it before I break something lol.

I like the new Playstation app but it turns my PS4 on everytime I use it! I've added 3 people from here to my friends list tonight and everytime my PS4 turned on

There is an option under settings that allows you to power on over network, turn that off and it should stop switching on.

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered in this thread but am I right in saying that it forces you to use Facebook if you want to share media!?!?

I can't stand Facebook and so it renders the share facility useless for me if this is the case!

Yeah it does right now, there are expectations for youtube sharing but no idea when. I just created a dummy FB account for now...

anyone playing FIFA 14, resogun or has Zen pinball 2 on ps3 and wil download the cross play version for ps4 on 19 th December add me on psn. I like to have other players listed to compare scores against, much better then a blank friend score board.

I also have killzone which I'm about to have a go with the mp, and I'll get more games over the next few months..

If I get a PS+ subscription do I also need a PSN card?

Also, are consoles that are being delivered now likely to be batch two or three so shouldn't have the same problems as day one consoles or is that just wishful thinking?
