Looking to build a PC for photoshop & gaming which can handle the latest games like Battlefield 4, Batman-Arkham City.

Need pretty much everything apart from the usually mouse, keyboard, monitor etc.

Would like to stick with budget if possible. Spec me please

It's a great setup, but my AMD chip was pants on when using PS. I'd recommend the 8-core from experience.

The Problem with photoshop is its not FULLY multi-core yet..

Its still works on the idea of a powerful 'core' rather than a lot of smaller threaded cores (multi-core, hyperthreading)... So really AMD chips aren't ideal for the task.. Though it fits into the budget nicely.

Yeah, that's the experience I've had. My 2500k smashes it now, wish I'd gotten one sooner.

Thanks for all the advice.

Thinking of going with ExRayTed reccommedation due to the better processor. Thinking of a better case and coolers.

You should get the faster RAM from my spec as it's cheaper, only problem is it's shown as 'due soon'

The superflower PSU is better than the Antec unit so get that. The corsair case is better than the xigmatek by a country mile, so definitely get that if you can afford it.

A third party cooler is recommended as the oem one is louder than a loud thing; the one doomedspeed recommended is a fine cooler

Give OCUK a ring in the morning and find out when it's coming back into stock. If its going to be a while go with the ram from Doomedspeed's spec

Would this work? I know it cost abit more!
