*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

4.4.2 here after an initial test.. seems my signal can be quite choppy to say the least H is reporting about 3mbps. Tempted to flash 4.4 radio onto it as the speeds im recieving are never consistant
 
Using 3g only i seem to be getting similar results now to my iPhone 4s so ill assume it is infact ok. Sat on my desk it isn't fluctuating more than a bar between full signal and 3 bars
 
I'm really loving this phone. The pure speed, reliability, screen and camera just make the N4 look like a steam engine.

Just need to sell the old baby to CEX or on here to get some monies :D
 
Starting to think that maybe (just maybe!) I should get one of these and sell my HTC One.

The N5 certainly looks the smarter of the two, I reckon, although I think the sound output from the phone itself is better on the One... decisions, decisions! :)
 
Had a play with one of these today and instantly wanted to drop my 5S and get one.

Good job my iPhone is sim free so if i do decide to switch i can easily sell it!

It still lacking in some areas such as good speakers, bigger battery, screen (coming from an S4 the N5 does not replicate blacks as good and there is light bleed), expandable storage....etc etc
The screen might not bother a lot of people but for people like me who invert all the apps (so they are easier on the eyes) it is noticeable. The Holo white is a little hard on the eyes at night....

Go ahead and flash the radio from 4.4 it's only takes literally a min and it saves you the hassle of having a dodgy signal.

It's the first thing I did when I rooted my N5 and the signal's holding out pretty well.

Is the 4.4 radio 100% solid? Compared to this... Any guides on it along with files necessary for my device type?

Found mine had the "defect" enough on xda moaning about which is a loose ish power button.. No it was just moving abit lol! Nothing like a bit of a wedge sliver each side to stop it rattling about invisibly won't sort :') Why are people rma'ing because of that problem when its normal as its a ceramic button
