UPS gave my parcel to someone who doesn't exist.

This is why I love Amazon Lockers.

Knowing how Amazon "locker" works I.E collect plus which involves Pay point I wouldn't put to much confidence in them:o

I unfortunately have to deal with them on a techie side and they couldn't organise a **** up in a brewery utter imbeciles.

Although they must be making some serious cash as their head office is posh and swanky go figure.....

Why do you even have to bother going to so much effort to get the item? Surely if no one claims to have it, it is completely UPSs liability, they should be doing the chasing up.

True but it's faster and easier to chase it up first myself, it's not much effort to ask a few neighbors rather than waiting foreeeever in customer service.

Stuff Nate says often doesn't add up, so it's nothing unusual.

Carb up brah!

You don't wait forever in customer service. You tell who you bought it from your story.

If they don't act then you tell your credit card company you'd like to start chargeback procedures due to non-delivery of goods. You sign a few things saying you genuinely haven't received it. Credit card company gives the retailer a chance to prove the item was delivered to you and if they can't (as they can't in this case), and then you get your money back.

While this happening the credit card company will freeze the transaction and so you won't even be out of pocket.

Most reputable companies won't let it get to this stage.

Much easier than trying to coax one of your neighbours into admitting they have the goods. UPS will also learn not to leave items with random people at this block of flats.

Great advice, appreciate it but it's still worth a try to ask neighbors right? :) I didn't try and confront them, just asked nicely and left. I'll phone them up tomorrow the actually company is really good for customer service.

Those jokers, they have their ups and downs I suppose.

Hahaha should have gone with Yodel *ducks*.

They're great. With delivery to my house, it's more likely than not that the attempted delivery will occur when there's nobody to take it. No such worries with Amazon lockers and the nearest ones are a few hundred yards away in a place that's open 16 hours a day every day.

All good and fun if you live near one, mines a 10 minute drive completely defeating the point.

Use Yodel, never knew trying to get your parcel could be so fun...
Nothing like replacing your letterbox because yodel booted something way too big through it snapping all the lining out, ripping the **** out of the parcel what is more.

Had a knock on my door this afternoon, got the parcel! Hell yeah. It was the same guy I gave an atlas parcel to that was delivered to my address. Attitude for gratitude and karma coming back :D

Never heard of Amazon Lockers before, there's one about 1/2 mile from my house :D

Can you tell them to deliver there if the initial delivery is failed..?

This.

Even better, the delivery company, who will be out of pocket for not correctly delivering the item may investigate where the parcel has gone. They might even get the police involved which in turn would get your dis-honest neighbour nicked! :)

That comment does explain why a significant number of car journeys are less than a mile and why obesity and fitness are so bad...:(

Ah, those same people who have a glandular problem and complain about the high price of fuel?
