Bloke uses our road as a Car Park

keyi-ing a car is abit harsh for parking there lol, itll cost him loads to fix unless its a business car, but then if it was he'd a business car be driving it and not using the train :p

leave another note but not so " polite " & if that doesn't work then I guess what ever you feel is needed to be done lol

Looks like there's no driveway either side of where he's parked, so just get you and a neighbour to park an inch in front and behind him...

I don't agree with the suggestions of vandalism, but seriously, do this.

Have a couple of beers with your neighbour afterwards too, because then it would "unfortunately" be illegal for you to move the cars :p

If the public parking on a public road causes you to get your knickers in such a twist you should move to a house on a private road.

Yes, you're a **** for thinking about keying the car.

Nothing you can do, unfortunately. This is an issue around pretty much every train station in the country, it's the downside of living near one.

Keep leaving notes requesting they park elsewhere is all you can do. Either that or make it extremely difficult for them to move it on their return; not illegal afaik and won't damage their property.

We live on a private road very close to the high street and we occasionally get people parking on it. When this happens we just close and lock the gate at the end of the road and then open it at our own convenience.

Just get the neighbours to park right up close to him so that he can't move out. Do this every day!

Want to live near a train station? Don't moan about people parking on your street. End of story.

Just out of curiosity, which station is this?

first world problems

Yes, I bet the problems you personally face in whichever 3rd world country you live in make the OP's problem pale in to insignificance. I truely hope some of the Children in Need money finds its way to you and your starving family.

Op, you're pathetic. He has just as much right as anyone to park there, he's not causing an obstruction yet you're getting all passive aggressive for no reason whatsoever. Why not find something worthwhile to worry about instead?

Wow, you're one of those guys. My father is too, goes mental if he can't park right outside the house.

Some folks in a street I used to live in put cones on the road every day so that they could always park outside their house. Everyone else in the street used to take turns parking in the space.

Is it bad that when walking home late one night last week I was tempted to key it as I walked past?

Yes it is. There is no need for that sort of behaviour, that would be classed as criminal damage.

I know it's annoying, but they are parking there legally.

Unless you chat to them face to face you'll never get them to move. The alternative would be to contact the council and make it permit parking only, but then you and your neighbours would have to pay for a pass to park on your own street.

Unless he is being obnoxious by choosing a spot which will makes things difficult when there are other obvious options that wouldn't impact on him or anyone else equally, then I wouldn't fret.

Its not really your business what he does..its a public highway and he is as entitled to park there as anyone else, including those that live on the street...contact your local council to get them to consider resident parking if it is that much of an issue.

And as others have said, considering keying someone's car just because you don't like where it is parked is a pretty crap thing to do.

It's a road, people can park on it!

Good post above, if you have a station nearby then I surprised residents parking hasn't been introduced, if you're that bothered speak to your local council.

Actually to be fair, if the OP's road is as narrow as mine, then it's a real pain to get in/out of the drive when someone's parked directly opposite. As in 11+ point turn pain...
