*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

Aww :( is there any other phones that beat the nexus 5 but aren't any bigger? The note etc are just too big.

Will have to wait until new year then :(

I take that to mean that you have actually taken the plunge and ordered one!

If so, you will hopefully find that they are sending them out well in advance of the dates shown, like they did with the 16 Gb models, so I will keep my fingers crossed for you! :)

It could even be a nice Christmas present! :cool:

The screen might not bother a lot of people but for people like me who invert all the apps (so they are easier on the eyes) it is noticeable. The Holo white is a little hard on the eyes at night....

After seeing my friends N5 screen against my HTC One screen, I still think the HTC One has the best LCD screen going. On full brightness the HTC One didn't show any pee stained colours unlike the N5. SAMOLED will always have the upper hand with blacks though.

Apart from that though the N5 is an awesome device, It feels really good, It is very quick also.
 
It seems royal fail let me down again, No case. Not sure if its just me or does the nexus 5 really charge quite slow on its stock charger? Is using other chargers alright ? I have a nexus 7 charger with much higher output which charged my iPhone stupidly fast for the past year

Got to play with the wifes nexus 5 last night for a few hours and coming from an iphone its a minefield and nowhere near as intuitive to operate. the 5 does feel very slick though, but will take time to adjust. It eventually persuaded me to orderone for myself to replace my 4. Black (32GB) was unavailable now till the end of the year so ordered a white one which was on 2/3 days like the black was last Sunday.

Ordered a couple of spigen cases, some zagg screen protectors and a new car cradle as well :)
 
Is anybody able to shed some light on whether I can expect my phone or whether I'll need to order one again? Firstly my card was decline as the transaction was flagged as fraudulent by my bank, Barclays then called me and I confirmed over the phone that it was a genuine transaction.

I then received an email from Google saying my order had been put on hold due to this, and it stated in the email that if I update my payment information then the order should be put through. I updated my payment information just by typing in the same card details as before, knowing that this time it wouldn't be flagged by my bank. My order status is really strange though, and I haven't had any updates via email today either:

But if I click on the info tab it says it's shipping today, despite me having no further updates from Google today, I did have one yesterday thanking me for updating my payment information though. I also mistakenly made a duplicate order which I've cancelled.
