*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Right, got me a Pulse headset - courtesy of lovely wifety - am I right in saying that it is not yet properly supported on PS4?

They need to sort out the UI so it's easier to accept party invites etc. Or even send them out. They need something like the guide button on the 360. Having to go back to the XMB and then go through about 4 menus to accept is really stupid.

Managed to get a killzone bundle for £385 from tesco in sheffield this morning they had a delivery last night of 5 consoles I got the last one well happy now!! Problem is now I can't have it till crimbo day according to the missus :( incredible how many people want these there was someone on the phone asking if they had any whilst I was paying and a lady came to the counter asking also whilst I was paying its unreal. Obviously they both got told just sold the last one.

What do you need to do to setup an american account mate? Interested in this

This. And will I be able to access NBA 2K14 on my UK account once it is activated/downloaded/installed on the US one?

I'm assuming it would carry over to all accounts that have your console activated, like PS plus does and how the PS3 did.

I didn't think you need a US PSN account to activate it afaik, I thought it was more just you had to setup an american address for the purchase on Amazon.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/pla...-voucher-38-95-plus-possible-cashback-1741861

millions of people know about this code thing.

look at how many people in that thread say to stay away from very.

you need to open a credit account, then they charge you full price, which you have to pay the full amount then they give you £30 of credit is what it says.

therefore you pay full price for the items then get £30 of credit added to your account.

unless people on hotukdeals are wrong.

Unless it differs between vouchers then yes they are wrong.

Certainly not how it happened to me. I created a Very.co.uk account, added in a £30 voucher on a PS+ sub and the voucher credit is added to your account the same time as the order. So 5 minutes later I just paid it off. Got 12 months PS+ for £18.99 after delivery then also have more vouchers so bought £50 of PSN credit for £33.99.
Paid that off too and closed the account.

Signed up in my wifes name under our other address and did the same then closed that too.

But yeah you do have to open a credit account so unless you have top credit history It may not be worth doing

When I did it on PS3 years ago I just signed up on the console but used an address of a place in the US. I used the University of Lincoln!

Once that's done, should be good to go.

Only reason I did it really was to download NHL Gamecenter Live

Just make sure to activate that account on the PS4 or you won't be able to use content on your UK account

So...how is everybody finding their next gen consoles?

For some reason I'm struggling to imagine the jump that there was with previous next gen stuff. PS1 to PS2 was amazing!

You need a US PSN account and a US Amazon account. The billing address on the Amazon account should be a tax free state (like Alaska).

You will then need to redeem the code bought from Amazon on the US PSN account and start the download. You then just sign out of it and back into your UK account and play.

Anyone know if Sony followed suit with MS and made DLC region-free aswell? Only sticking point when it comes to getting stuff from non-UK PSN for me. Though I guess with Amazon US PSN store you dont need to worry about things like a US credit card/PSN card now anyway...

Don't think so. As far as I know DLC will need to be bought on the US PSN if you bought/redeemed the game on the US PSN store.

Yeah just had a look and its the same as PS3, DLC is region-locked, a pain but one easily circumvented with the Amazon US/UK PSN store, though I hope that is kept up-to-date with items as Sonys PSN store is...

Oh, so this still applies for the PS4? I didn't want to buy it to find out I couldn't play it on my UK account.

Both as the US content would be against the US account youve bought from and obviously your main UK account would need to be activated for everything else you own as normal...
