Has anyone been flashed by a Truvelo and not received a letter?

Don't take this as 100% accurate, but I seem to remember only GATSOs can operate in "dummy mode". So, in other words , if the truvelo definitely flashed (should be a magenta flash) and you were over the limit, you're almost certainly going to get an NIP. :(

There was a van in front of me yesterday, can't remember how fast I was going, I don't think it was over 80 indicated (which is apparently only 73~). Just got a clean license in Feb :(

On the A3 through some roadworks at 1:30am on Saturday evening with not another soul on the road. Was doing between 60 and 70 indicated in a 50 :p

Truvelo's got upgraded in late 2009 to completely digital and fibre optic transmission to HQ! So there are no such thing as "dummy" Truvelo's anymore.

Child killer! Still I was done under pretty similar circumstances (roadworks) and I certainly got 3 points from it!

Ooops... these things happen though.

As an aside, how nobody got done by that one between Buckmore park and the pub back in September is beyond me. Everyone disappeared out of sight before I could even get my curling tongs out of the glovebox!

Well the NIP came through! I was only doing 60mph so they've offered me the option of a speed awareness course which is cheaper too now that they've raised the fixed penalty fine :)

Mine was pretty good, shame I had to drive to Southampton from Manchester to sit it though, that was when I got done at the Southern Meet :o

My dad did one last year and it was only a couple of miles down the road.

I'm hoping it's just four hours of watching YouTube videos of crazy Russian diving ;)
