Very mildly funny but utterly forgettable to me.

If he can string two words together I guess that's a bonus, although maybe not if he puts them together devoid of any meaning. Well if enough people are lapping it up then I guess we can look forward to more of the same.

david mitchell is alright in small doses but the others?

Lee Mack is a better stand-up than Jack Whitehall any day. I didn't even realise Alan Carr and Graham Norton were classed as comedians. As for Sarah Millican...no.

Lee Mack is pretty funny. Never rated Whitehall. Pretty poor set of nominees there.

The problem with comedy on TV is that it's all controlled by a small group of agents. Not on their books? You're not going to get on TV no matter how funny you are. On their books? Guaranteed appearances on comedy panel shows and then further work.

He came to our Uni for one of our comedy nights (this was before he got more popular/was on 8 out of 10 cats). He was brilliant.

yup richardson is pretty good and sean lock can be hilarious but it must be scripted. i don't rate lock's standup at all (what i've seen of it).

the only other thing on tv worth watching is HIGNFY.
