Jack Whitehall King of Comedy

I must be getting old, I have no idea who this guy is, doesn't sound like I'm missing out.

some over privileged private school douche with avant guard hair that e4 /c4 fast tracked to mega stardom. id wager on the popularity of Russell brand.

Very mildly funny but utterly forgettable to me.

If he can string two words together I guess that's a bonus, although maybe not if he puts them together devoid of any meaning. Well if enough people are lapping it up then I guess we can look forward to more of the same.

to put the "win" in context, here are the other nominees...

Alan Carr, David Mitchell, Graham Norton, Lee Mack and Sarah Millican

david mitchell is alright in small doses but the others?

Lee Mack is a better stand-up than Jack Whitehall any day. I didn't even realise Alan Carr and Graham Norton were classed as comedians. As for Sarah Millican...no.

The problem with comedy on TV is that it's all controlled by a small group of agents. Not on their books? You're not going to get on TV no matter how funny you are. On their books? Guaranteed appearances on comedy panel shows and then further work.

Conveyor belt comedian who is about as funny lung cancer

If you think Fresh meat is funny you probably own the Gavin and Stacy boxset, tell everyone how edgy the inbetweeners is and watch chattyman.

Basically you are a horrible human being.

This. I can't stand the guy.

Jon Richardson on the other hand is ace.

This explains why the awfully unfunny Ross Noble constantly pollutes QI.

I'd only ever seen him on 8 out of 10 cats, but finally caught some of his stand up the other night and it was great :D

He came to our Uni for one of our comedy nights (this was before he got more popular/was on 8 out of 10 cats). He was brilliant.

Good on him I really like him and find him very funny, maybe it's because I'm a posh private school toff too :)

although Bad education for me was a total flop...
