HD 290 Crossfire or GTX 780 SLI for 1440p?

I dont think theres going to be much difference to look at, in the ops shoes i would be looking at getting a second hand 780 for sli but if from scratch then proberly the 290's as for 1400p i would find the 4gb of ram a bit of a deal breaker.

I bought my 780 when it was cheap, same card is now £40 more expensive and its only a few weeks old do I won't loose too much on it.

An R290 cannot beat a GTX 780...

Mantle means nothing to me till I see some proper hard numbers from review sites & owner reviews..

Yes there just about 100% neck & neck at the same clocks
