Well my son's monitor has gone pop (an old 22" 1680x1050 one) so that means a new monitor, now with nearly all monitors now days being 1920x1080 I'm wondering if his gtx260 is gong to be up to the task, now I do have a gtx 470 that I can put in there and it is a fairly decent upgrade form a 260 but I'm not sure that his OCZ 450 PSU will be up to the task.
The rest of his machine is a I3 3220, z68 board, two Hdd (SSD is busted and awaiting RMA), DVD/RW and 2* 120mm fans.
When I ran the 470 I had it running at 800Mhz and it drank juice like it was gong out of fashion, but I have no idea how good/bad they are at stock settings, will the 450PSU be capable to drive a 470 and the reat of his rig or a new PSU a better option.
I was looking at about £50 for a PSU maybe the EVGA 600W one
