Hi guys i'm wondering if you could help me. I had my build for about 5 months now and as long as i can remember probably last week, the performance of my pc is getting slower. I haven't OC my system yet and usually I'm getting constant 60+ fps but now i'm lucky to get a 60+ fps for 5 seconds. All the games i played are laggy. I'm not sure if the gpu's faulty or something went wrong on the drivers. Here is my specs:

Mobo: Z87 MSI GD65
Ram: 16gb Hyperx Beast 2400mhz (running at 1333mhz)
CPU: i7 4770k @3.5hz
GPU: EVGA Gtx 780
cpu cooler: H100i
HDD: Seagate 2tb
SSD: Kingston 120gb

Please any help would be appreciated. Many Thanks.

such parts, no OC. not impressed.

have you tried stress testing the GPU? what are the temps? newest drivers?

what games on what resolution on what settings are we talking about?

are your games on the HDD or SSD? have you checked those for any error/problems?

Hi thank you for replying, Since i had my gpu i sometimes do a random benchmarking without oc it and i get 60+fps on benchmark valley running on ultra at 1920x1080p.
But since last week i'm not getting above 60+.. My games are on hdd.. I dont know where the errors are.. I'm getting worried now..

+1 and a 4770K at stock under a h100i will be freezing. even under full load.

provided it's fitted correctly.

2 things first.

check HDD for errors with HDTune.

try latest Nvidia drivers, maybe even beta.

have you made any changes recently? new software installed? updates?

I'll try that thank you, as for nvidia drivers i have rollback to the previous update, i was thinking it might be the beta update.. But still no luck.

I don't know if your board supports it, but it might be worth checking if you can set the memory profile to XMP. It should then set everything to allow it to operate at the higher speed.

Otherwise check all your drivers, potential virus perhaps?

Which PSU you've got ? Did you connect graphic card with all PCIe connectors ?
BTW, first thing after setting up new rig is to sort out BIOS options. So no room for 1333 memory :)

My pc just works fine last week, its just happens suddenly that it became laggy which i'm worried about. I thought this specs that i've had would allow me to have a good gaming experience.

Yes i have not pull out my gpu since i've placed it on the time it was build. btw i have seasonic 850w gold

Can you check GPU usage when not playing games? If it's high your computer may have been infected with mining software. That'd put a pretty noticable dent in your gaming performance

(I doubt it's this as games should become basically unplayable unless the software was set to use less than 100% but most people looking to exploit others hardware are not so considerate!)

I'd agree that you shouldn't be running your ram at 1333MHz but if it was fast enough previously at this speed then that's not the cause of your problem.
