Agreed. Yes I've thrown my toys out a bit. Argh bloomin thing. SOmeone link me the instructions. I'm an amateur with this kind of thing as I don't generally muck about with phones anymore.
EDIT: I don't want to root the phone. Do I have to do this?

Took me about 5 once id picked up all the things i needed and got the drivers working

Search for wugfresh toolkit. Very easy to use and does rooting and unlocking for you with a few clicks

Whats wrong with using a toolkit??

Wug's toolkit is excellant. Unlocked my N4 and the N5 using it. Its the easiest and simplest way to unlock. It does it all for you!!

When a toolkit goes wrong its harder to trace were it went wrong, high bricking rate if and when it goes wrong etc. Would only manually command my phone via adb and fastboot personally. Atleast i know if my commands wrong i can easily sort it out

Since the update I'm having trouble with wifi. Even though it's connected I just can't connect to the net, I have to stop wifi and then re-enable it to get it working. Annoying!

Nope, you just need to be in fastboot mode to flash the radio if using the .img file ... if you have the modem in a flashable .zip then yes you can use twrp/cwm

I've had both. And kept nexus 5 purely for the guaranteed updates.

G2 is awesome but the fact their updates are very very slow it made me sell it. But that's my opinion.

I like to be up to date
