***The Official Battlefield 4 Thread***

Yeah dude if your non premium you cant d/l the DLC til 17th im afraid. Preeem gets early access.

Once its 17th you should see the add on in the PS Store to d/l

poo thought as much oh well one day to go, am refusing to pay for premium until they get the infestation sorted out in the game, having said that it would seem am in the top 2% in the kill/hit %

I played this quite a bit over the weekend, hadn't really touched it as i was spending most of my time on Forza.

Unlocked the 40x for my L96A1 & Holo for my L85A2, so i have my normal setup from BF3 again :D

Hopefully they'll add the L86A2 & PP-19 at some point. Just need to unlock some bits for the 870 and i'll be back to normal.

Does the game forget the Soldier Camo selected each time the game is re-started for anyone else? It keeps going back to default for me.

anyway to turn it off? I notice me lining up my sniper rifle the odd time then my crosshair starts to follow the player.. Peeves me right off

There is a setting in one of menus, can't recall which though.

The need for decent squad/team play on this is paramount, and a decent commander is crucial. Team I was on last night had no idea what they were doing and there was no commander. We were getting full capped and lost the game with them losing about 100 tickets.

Conquest Large really is so painful without a decent squad.

I used to play conquest on the 360 with 24 players, and it was so much easier to capture and defend flags on your own. If i saw a flag burning, I could spawn on it and usually kill maybe one or two and take the flag back.

Trouble is with conquest large, I find myself on my own defending a flag against a full squad. You kill one, but then on the kill cam you see he's got 4 others round him, so even if you had survived, you'd just have got killed by the next guy. Same thing with attacking, go attack a flag, kill a defender, make yourself known and before you know it you've got 3 or 4 defenders hunting you down.

There is only any point following the pack, but the problem is the pack are usually a bunch of morons crowding round the one flag we own while leaving every other flag alone. Does it really take 25 players to defend the 1 flag we already have ?

On one game last night, on caspian border, me & martin gave up attacking, we took A flag, and kept it. We then proceeded to defend it against the US for the entire map. There was about 5 of us defending that flag, but it was about the only flag we owned consistently. If every squad of 5 just took a flag, and defended it and stayed there, it would have meant we dominated the map. But the problem is people keep chasing the kills. Meaning if theres 4 empty flags all owned by the opposition, nobody takes them and instead goes after the flag we already have but are defending.

This didn't use to matter on conquest on Xbox 360, because the teams were so small, but now, its just pointless.

And domination games have gotten bigger, with bigger teams too. Domination used to be 8v8 on the close quarter maps, one of which was pretty much the size of one of the big building on siege of shanghai. Which makes it equally as hard on domination when the rest of your team are ignoring the flags and chasing the kills and easy points. If one squad of 5 is already capping a flag, do you really need to leave the flag the enemy are no doubt about to take, to go and "help" cap the one we've already got ?

No is the answer, which is why you end up with 10 people on 1 flag and losing the flag we just took 20 seconds ago.

There's loads of auto aim, it just doesn't practically aim for you like CoD does. CoD really is mental with the amount of aiming it does for you.

give over. There isn't really any "auto aim" and instead just a system that turns you left and right a bit to point you in the right direction, but it doesn't lead moving targets for you and instead leaves you behind the person rendering the system completely pointless.

I just turn it off as it only interferes with your aim.

Any news on second assault for ps4?

on hold until further notice.

Agreed on the need for a good team. Everyone ends up just chasing one another benny Hill style around the map. If I wanted to do that I would have bought cod.

Pretty much what I find as well. On caspian border everyone goes for the middle flag and stays there, leaves all the surrounding ones free for taking but you can't do it on your own, need your squad or at least 2-3 of you.

Really need to go around the maps as a squad but everyone seems to just charge off in random directions.

Loving BF4 so far despite a few issues. The most annoying for me are getting shot when I've moved to cover, and seemingly getting killed by people who are still running at me when I mag dump into them.

I'd like to play some domination with some kind of organisation though. As others have said, it's just individuals running around capping flags, or worst still, people sitting on top of buildings racking up kills but ignoring the objective.

What guns/setups are you guys using on PS4? I'm looking to unlock the Ace 23 but wasn't sure whether this is a gun more suited for PC players.

The most popular assault rifle is the M416, and thats by and large due to the fact it kicks the least of the assault rfiles. Give that a try first and see what you think. There isn't much in it between the M416 and the ACE

Ace to me feels better, although i prefer the slower Sar-21, cant wait for China rising though, get to unlock the L85 again

There is a server side update today, once again supposed to reduce the crashes and other issues.

Indeed I could be ready to pull the trigger on a target then my scope jumps behind some guy who randomly runs by.

Thats the main issue, up close it will track anyone that moves near your enemy meaning the one you were about to kill is still alvie and your staring at someone else, missing the shot.

It's much stronger than the Aim assist was on BF3, i dont see why the cant just remove it competly so everyone is playing the same. i enjoy having it off for the extra challenge, but i also hate the fact that i know ive been killed due to so over powered Aim assist that was even ment for me, but i ran into the area.

copy from amazon still not arrived posted 9 days ago by them using royal mail normal delivery.

i'm pretty sure its our new dodgy post man as well, the guy is a lard *** who looks a state (doesn't shower or look after himself from what I can see) with a scruffy beard who completely ruined our mail last week by scrunching it all up and bending it in half before posting through our letterbox when we have a large mail box outside the home right beside the door which all previous posties have used with no issue.

this guy however always uses the flap on the door. he must be so dumb he doesn't realise what the huge thing beside the door with a flap on it is for.
