Corsair 300R - Need advice on fans selection.

I had a corsair 200r which have similar fan setup and also had a problem with fan placement.
Eventuallt I bought a small and strong fan, it was a 40mm i think, and installed it between the cards, blowing air thru the space between them. Helped a bit but not that much. Problem is most of those little fans are noisy so not an optimal option.
To be honest, watercooling is the only advice I could give you which is going to work for sure.

One alternative (out there) idea is to try installing the 140mm fan on the side but on the outside of the case......but based on how much heat is created by the twin cards (you never mentioned how hot) you might need to go watercooling or a different case.

Thanks for both the replies.

To be honest, it's not a deal breaker, I'm pretty happy with how it is. Considering just having them on outside of case afterall but a bit unsightly...still I'm not an LED lights/PC look like car type person ;) so it's not too awful.

Still, think Corsair are pretty stupid for having the fan locations where they are.

I've got 2 prolimatech ultra sleek vortex on the side of my 300r .
They are only 15mm instead of normal 25mm . The extra 10mm
gives brtter clearence . I have also removed the case grill and
fitted fan guards . Better airflow and quieter .
