Change the PSU! It's not a very good OEM and is very expensive for what it's worth.

Flextronics isn't actually a bad OEM, there are worst out there like the other OEM's Thermaltake's TP-1000M what uses Enhance Electronics as its OEM.

The non (i) would be my first choice as well chaps but as its now getting a bit long in the tooth its getting hard to source the braided cables these days (Remember the Flextronics units use different cables to the Seasonic PSU's).

Extensions could be the answer if you wanted to use a non Corsair PSU but in these mATX builds they can be a nightmare to do a decent cable management job unless you know what your doing.

It in-line with the epic Corsair and Micro Star International black and red theme that is running though out my spec

Your cable management skill will have to be right out of the top draw and I would ask pexonpcs to braid all the cables in black.

well it will function nicely alright, but it wont look nice

Done correctly I think it would you would have to mod the cables and the rear fan mount and then be a massive cable management nazi like me

If your friend is studying at a collage / university who is registered for 'microsoft dreamspark' program then he could get windows 7 / 8 for free, might be work a look then he'd have a few extra quid for the computer....
