Hey guys!

I was hoping if I could borrow some of your expertise! Christmas is coming and I'm looking to purchase a gaming PC for someone who is interested in playing games such as Minecraft, Alice: Madness Returns and when it's out - Sims 4.

I'm aware that I may not need as much as £400, but I want to keep the budget open to make sure it's an optimal build (perfect FPS on highest quality).

I would be grateful if someone could provide a list for me - if any of the pre-built PC's are available, I'd appreciate if someone would point out one that is able to match the above!

Thanks in advance!

Weclome,

Are you only looking for a pre-built? Not wanting to build it yourself? (actually £400 is a pretty small budget for decent components)..

Will an OS and monitor be needed too?

OS and Monitor won't be needed! Really? I thought £400 would be a good price for just small time gaming (not looking to play games such as CoD, battlefield or any sort of AAA game.

Thank you, Ted! Seems fair, I'll definitely look into it! - Doomed, what important item?

Thank you

Doomed - that budget build looks great. Especially for what it'd be used for! Though, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to be missing a graphics card? :)

Thanks Idleman, another great consideration.

Thank you all for your help again, I really appreciate it.

Trinity CPU's have on-board graphics chips, quite supprieor to that of the intel and chips. Pairing it with fast RAM also increases the FPS.

I've seen these chips play BF3 on medium/high settings so it'll be great for mincraft/sims. :)

Thanks, Idle. This is probably the one I'll go for. Fair price for what it's worth, plus stating it will allow better upgrading helps a lot.

Thank you all for your help, feel free to keep putting in your specs, I'll keep my eye on this thread in case something else pops up. Hopefully this will help other people looking at this thread as well!
