Each to their own lol. Mantle could be a deal breaker for a lot of owners though, it would certainly make me reconsider at a later stage.

Does hyper threading get used by mantle?
Yes but as always its not as effective as an actual core.
Was the 4770 tested with it on or off?
With it on. Who disables HT in this day and age?
Welcome to 1981.![]()

I do always have.
Only thing i found ht did for my pc was add heat to my oc.![]()
If you always keep hyper-threading off then you should always buy an i5 as there is no real difference between an i5 and i7 in everyday use or at least there never used to be.
my x79 upgrade cost £0.
True Dat. Certainly adds more heat and means you need more voltage for an overclock. However if you're going to disable HT you should have bought an i5. For multi threaded games like BF3/4 HT is a must for multi gpu!
They got rid of the stutter with ht on?
It was fixed a few months after BF3 was released and its worked flawlessly ever since in BF3/4.Jesus Muzz, have you been living under a rock? HT stutter died out with the dinosaurs. It was fixed a few months after BF3 was released and its worked flawlessly ever since in BF3/4.

Anyways the 670 is getting old for 1440p a return to the red team is on the cards![]()
