flopper, you're a wee bit deluded lol

Well I do enjoy hardware that dosnt cost an arm and leg and a first born.:p

If Mantle works then Intel cpu becomes too expensive and not a good choice for the use a gamer needs it for. you can pay 5 times as much here for a Intel 4930k and MB than a 8 core amd 8350 system.
Now Mantle also put pressure on nvidia so we have a situation where amd removed the IPC advantage and also the Nvidia big core thingy, so both competitors now removed from the advantage they had.
Now I fail to see that as a bad thing as the market now have changed.
since people always talk about futureproof when they buy things guess what neither Intel nor Nvidia is now futureproof.
anyhow, I rather buy a machine for 5 times less than a similiar system as I know how much I actually have use for the more expensive one which is as I say in actual use you just wont notice difference, benchmarks aside.

However the placebo effect is strong in many.

Personally I think amd needs a better organiziation as a company.
still cant beat the plan they cooked up, remove the Intel and Nvidia competition with mantle. Its no suprise a lot of people working for Nvidia went to amd and its spelled Mantle.

If it's true that Mantle runs without CPU bottleneck on a 2ghz PD then even AMD FX8 will be overkill for gaming, a 4670K will probably be all that's needed on the Intel side, FX4/FX6 on AMD.

Only thing i found ht did for my pc was add heat to my oc. ;)

True Dat. Certainly adds more heat and means you need more voltage for an overclock. However if you're going to disable HT you should have bought an i5. For multi threaded games like BF3/4 HT is a must for multi gpu!

If you always keep hyper-threading off then you should always buy an i5 as there is no real difference between an i5 and i7 in everyday use or at least there never used to be.

my x79 upgrade cost £0, not that im bragging. Hopefully if mantle is this good intel will start to release mainstream 8 core cpus.

Jesus Muzz, have you been living under a rock? HT stutter died out with the dinosaurs. :p It was fixed a few months after BF3 was released and its worked flawlessly ever since in BF3/4.

I stopped playing bf3 on 070713 (2nd sponger born lol) And only played the sp campain on bf4, yes so sad. Anyways the 670 is getting old for 1440p a return to the red team is on the cards:p
