Suggest a good film/documentary, anything to do with stars, space, galaxies, fictional, non fictional, just anything.

I won't mention what I've seen, I love documentaries that are decent and factual. I love stuff about space!

Watched Contact last week. If you can manage the slow pace of things, it's not that bad.

Same story with the the europa report. Two films i wouldn't watch again, but kinda glad i did so to speak.

I think Contact is a great film :)

Good suggestions, I guess I too am a sucker for eye candy as well, so as much as I love a classic here and there, tonight is a night for eye candy :)

And an even better book.

In relation to that, with more emphasis on the sci and less on the - fi, Sagan's Cosmos is still the best science series ever made.

It's good, but a bit out of date by now. They didn't even know there's a super-massive black hole at the centre of every galaxy back then! Dark energy, brane theory, variable speed of light, etc, all new since Cosmos.

If you can, get a hold of From the Earth to the Moon

Was an HBO mini series which details the early American space program, Mercury > Apollo and is pretty damn amazing! Very good production values and in the style of the film Apollo 11 with some pretty big names playing various characters.
