Dell let me keep the crappy stylus. Getting a refund instead.

Might try and fix it now :).

Any reason not to get the toshiba over the dell ?

I see it's in stock in uk now

They look the same apart from stereo speakers and GPS on the Toshiba...

My Poetic case was cancelled for some reason so I ordered an IVSO one which works very well. I cannot get the tablet to turn on and off when opening and closing but I'm not too bothered about that. It offers good protection without adding to much bulk.

Might be worth a look. I'm very impressed with the Dell. Just plugged in a mini mouse and keyboard and its like a very small laptop...:D

It also runs the walking dead season 2 fairly well.....

Mine is due to arrive tomorrow finally.

Is the stylus really that bad?

Yes. Problem is not the accuracy it is the hover clicks, which click when you are not touching the screen.

Also due to this it kills the battery in the pen.

Total junk. Hopefully Dell make a revised pen.

Mine has had very little time out of its delivery box. :(

It's a very bitter sweet device IMO. It's fantastic to have full blown x86 Windows installed in such a small device but it feels very frustrating, not due to lack of speed as I find that generally very good, but more so I keep wanting a keyboard and mouse! Using x86 applications has me tearing my hair out.

It leaves me thinking where is this device is going to sit on a daily basis with me. I've recently purchased a N10 which I've fallen in love with, my N7 hasn't seen the light of day since. I think I'm just tired of squinting at tiny displays!

The Venue 8 has awesome potential for use at my work, but it needs some kind of decent case/keyboard. Not one of these cheap crappy Chinese built rubber keyboard case things. Anyone spotted anything decent?

The official keyboard should be out in a few weeks

Got mine yesterday and liking it so far. I did the eMMC tweak in the BIOS and these are my results, left are POB's 64GB, right are my 32GB results.

Nice, that advanced menu needed for the tweak was removed from the newer A04 Bios. I don't know if your setting will stay if you update.

Yeah I read the latest BIOS removed the advanced settings so I'll probably hold off on it until it they add it back in, if they ever do. I was interested in seeing the differences between stock settings and the tweaks, but it seems quite worthwhile if you've not already flashed the latest BIOS.

Moogleys, its a setting in the BIOS that boosts performance of the internal drive, but isn't available in the A04 BIOS.

Ive installed Gestureworks on it and it works very well with the handful of games I've tried so far. Definitely recommended.

If anyone finds a better on screen keyboard, please share :p

Just received mine this morning.
I love how it asked me weather I wanted to get my settings and apps of my Samsung ativ which saved me a lot of time looking for my apps again.
It doesn't seem much faster than my ativ. App launches dont seem to be faster and IE still gets stuck every now and again.
Xbox music actually works now and picks up all my music from my SD card
