Some people love making crap up to make their life seem more "fun"
People that play wow or similar games, dont go round smashing people up to nick their "uber gear" nor get engaged and pregnant to do the same thing..
Really not touching the tip of things either. It was a very interesting game, a very unique experience but no one ever believes you when you tell stories about it so I never really go too much in to details. I've been no angel I've done horrible things.
My guild were a bunch of griefing scumbags that the whole server hated, we still pretty much do what we did all those years ago in games these days however people don't seem to frown upon it as much and you don't lose items you've worked years to get.
Long story, really can't be bothered to go in to, but we're talking about £10,000's worth of stuff.

I never said I stole £10,000's of pounds, I'm not saying I did any of the above other than the laptop/keylog thing. If I was to sell what I stole I would have made a good few k. Just because items in MMOs these days aren't worth jack don't mean they once weren't.
There was a guy called Mohamed who turned up to Mirstock, he had bodyguards with him and I'm not even joking. The guy spent bare cash, he paid real life cash for 3 accounts, he paid over 5k for one of the accounts. He was loaded, there were loads of Qatar people that played and they spent fortunes buying stuff for real life cash. I used to GM a private server and used to get a fair bit of cash from being a corrupt GM. Good old days.
Game is an old game called Mir 2. I think there is an article out there about some Korean guy stabbing his friend to death over a him selling a sword while he was on holiday (mir3)
I still remember when I turned up to the meeting, the lead GM Hober came up to me and went "Tashohnie, I get reports of your abuse everyday, I've had to ban you for 30 days" lol
Man I miss those days. Fighting and dying meant something, a chance to lose an item you could have killed bosses everyday for 3 years trying to get.

I know a few girl gamers/wow players in real life and to be fair.... they are smokin' hot!! but they do tend to be a bit complex :\ (foreveralone.jpg)
I did meet this american girl on wow back in BC and was a bit skeptical at first but then we actually talked on skype and again, pretty damn fit! was planning to go out and visit but then we didn't talk for a while and we both got relationships, still good friends now though
I remember when in wow I had a female night elf... I would get guys asking if I wanted to go to goldshire inn (you know what that means) but I'd let them down gently, mostly by just laughing outright and saying I'm a dude....but some didn't give up so easy with "yea but your character is female....come on...." urghh..... then had people give gold just for you to strip and do the dance animation haha!!! usually just turned into loads of naked people dancing around the fountain in stormwind. Then I went horde where there are less douche bags
It just reminds me of the "big bang theory" episode where howard was caught cheating on his GF with a troll in game under a bridge haha!!! and at the end Leonard lets him know that the fat guy in IT plays that troll character hahaha xD oooo burn!!!! and in another episode penny becomes addicted and then howard offers to go for a drink with her ingame and she realises what she's become lol
on a slightly separate note, when I was playing BFBC2, one of my clan mates phoned me up demanding I get on TS...i was like uhhhh why what's up? he then went on to explain....."we have a friendly match against another clan......one of them is female....she sounds hot.....she's also from where you live" needless to say I took the bait haha xD we got talking a bit after and then met up IRL, nothing ever happened but now she's one of my closest/best mates
oh yea and P.S. some of the stories here do make people sound like see you next tuesday....s...

unconvinced.Yea' that's one way to look at it, as you and me have had this discusion before I'm sure, I enjoy winding people up in MMOs, 13 years on people still see me in games and say "Didn't you play Mir2? And run that guild DooM?" can you honestly say anyone has ever remembered you or a guild you run? I doubt it.

Why should we be locked in a dark room? There was a golden age, most people acted this way that were good but made up some BS to hide what they were doing, we were just open about it and rubbed it in peoples faces.
Anyway I'll leave this thread now as I don't narrow minded people who haven't experienced the golden age of MMOs wouldn't even begin to comprehend the stuff that went on in those games inside and out. Maybe that's a bit harsh, if I read what I put I'd possibly call bull. I'm used to it though, my dad was head of security for some of the largest rock bands in the world, most people didn't believe me, it doesn't bother me though I've got nothing to prove.
