Will this run modern games?

Hi guys, have been looking around for a Christmas treat for myself and have see this up for sale for about £500.

Title as per question really, how do you think it will fare with modern games?

Asrock 970 Extreme 4 Motherboard
XFX DD 7970 3.0 GFX
128gig SSD
8 Gig of Croshair Vengeance Ram 1866hz
Arctic a30 Cooler
Fracal Core design 3000 case
OCZ 600w Modular PSU
2 x 500 gig Hard drives.
Amd FX 8120 8core processor.
Crosair gaming mouse.
DVD Rom

What you think? Worth the £500?
 
Should be alright with the majority of games, you'll want to clock that cpu so the Gpu can stretch it's legs in game.
 
Thanks for the answers fellas. It's a prebuilt system made from parts as you would typically find around here.

Forgot to mention that I will be doing my gaming at 1080p which I guess shouldn't be an issue.

As for upgrade path, I'm guessing in the future if I want, I can just out a R270 or something similar without problems? :)
