Ok ever since day 1 I have had some weird system hangs and freezes for no reason, usually when launching 3ds max, however over time I have had it (built in late july) it has gotten worse and worse to the point I now cant make it to my browser without it freezing or blue screening.

Over this time I have changed the power supply to a stronger one and changed the gpu's, neither made an impact.

I need to get this fixed asap really so I can continue working so any and all help is welcomed.

The system is running at stock speeds and settings.

Amd FX8350
Corsair Vengence 16gb.
ASrock 970 extreme 3 r2.0
Gigabyte r9 280x windforce (x2 in crossfire)
750w psu.

Last blue screen I got said system service exception or something along those lines.
Running windows 8 and Ubuntu, both unusable.

have you tested with xmp enabled for your memory?

tried with just 8gb of memory see if it still does it?

might need a touch more dram v and or cpu northbridge voltage with 16gb of memory

might help running memtest86

My bad its 850w and akasa, the one before it was a corsair cx600 back when I was using a firepro, tested with just a single 8gb stick but still the same issues and tested with xmp.

*edit* Running mem test now, so far no errors.

Ok, it passed the memory test's, went into windows to get the bluescreen logs and the second I went to search, blue screen: system service exception, and then the same again in safe mode.

Is this with just one 8GB stick ram installed here ? If so remove it and repeat with the other stick to be sure. :D

I checked with both, I managed to fix the blue screens although i still get the random system hangs now that i have from day one but they recover after about 25 seconds thankfully.

Setting defaults in the bios made it under-volt the fx-8350 for some reason causing the blue screens!.

Also changed to the supplied drivers from gigabyte and fixed a few more stability issues.
I have a feeling the system hangs will never be solved though.

Thank you everyone for your help!

tried a bios update ? no idea what you use but try only plugging in your mouse and keyboard unplug everything else, see if anything happens.
