Be Quiet! Dark Rock 2 fan removal?

Hi all,

I just bought this cooler for a new build I'm doing but the fan is catching the RAM only very slightly and I was thinking that if I move the fan up a touch it would solve the problem. However this CPU fan has some pretty damn sturdy and seemingly impossible fan clips to remove, for those that haven't seen it, the fan is clipped on by some metal kind of U shaped wires.

Anyone got any tips on removing it if its possible without breaking it? or have I gotta take the new RAM route?

I have this cooler in a rig and the fan clips do take a bit of pulling to get off, You shouldn't need to remove your new ram though

Cheers! Once you had confirmed that it comes off we took a screwdriver to it and managed to pop it off without butchering it

I was blonde and did it with my fingers, This cooler wants blood lol

I tried for 10 minutes with mine. After changing the shape of my fingers I gave up.

Same here, before I went to Google/here I'd sliced two of my fingers open lol
