I bought a SteeSeries Sensei Raw and decided to install the SteelSeries Engine for it so that I could get 1000hz polling rate.

When it works it's excellent but if I set it to launch at startup it freezes all the peripherals, the Ducky Keyboard goes into a flashing spasm and stops working and the mouse is completely unresponsive. I can shut down ok using the button on the front of the PC so the actual machine itself hasn't crashed.

Unplugging/plugging back in makes no difference. If I start up without the software It's all fine and 5 out of 10 times I can then launch it and it'll work without locking.

Any one else getting this?

The engine would fail on startup for me once in ten. I then realised I used zero of the features on a regular basis and just uninstalled it. The mouse will remember the last settings you give it so once you get it how you want it, just remove the engine and your problems will be solved. :)

They have acknowledged the problem but as yet have not fixed it.

So if I set it to 1000dpi, set that as default, then uninstall it'll still be 1000dpi? Sweet! Thanks for that. It's been driving me mad.

Worse software and worst mouse I ever wasted money on is the Sensei.

Piece of K AH RAH P !

I'm back to my mx518 and it trumps the gimmick ridden Sensei.
