Not an Apple hardware per se.

But I was wondering whether there were any battery packs out there that have the required 12W power output to keep an iPad going while in use. Possibly 24 hour periods.

Searches always result in cheap unbranded generic battery packs which from past experiences tells me become utterly useless after a few weeks of use.. Typical bs with not holding charge or lasting a mere 25% of the duration as what is stated on the pack.

I have an Anker Astro battery for over a year and found it a great product. There is a larger 15000mAh version of it now. Does that fit the bill?

Thanks a lot for this, sorry about the late response.

Actually, this has come in at a low lower than execpted so I'm really happy about that.

Out of curiousity does it charge the iPad will full power like you would power from mains or does it give power and a lower rating? This is crucial here as I use the iPad for promotions and they are running for long periods of time.

Sorry I didn't get back to you. The apple port is rated at 2A I believe. Just did a test running Netflix over WiFi for the past hour and half with it connected to the battery. It's still at 100% so it's keeping it fully charged during use.

thanks a lot ordering one!

Just watchout if it's a new iPad as if it's not an approved device it apparently will only charge at 1A regardless :(
