Hello all,

I've recently acquired the Samsung 27" S27950D and prior to purchasing, I'd noticed there's no audio jack.

I've found a possible solution to this here:

http://www.lindy.co.uk/audio-video-c2/converters-scalers-c105/audio-spdif-analogue-dacs-c106/hdmi-audio-extractor-p7370?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=hdmi-audio-extractor-38091&utm_campaign=product+listing+ads%3Futm_source%3Dgoogle&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=hdmi-audio-extractor-38091&utm_campaign=product%2Blisting%2Bads&gclid=CNC6oc6YvLsCFabLtAod_CkAZA#7521

This seems applicable, just requires x2 HDMI cables and then an audio in.

I'm wondering if there's anyone on the forum that's got this monitor and has figured out alternative ways to hook up external speaker systems?

Would be grand to know if there is and what products you're using to achieve said goal :)

I'm looking to go towards the above route, although it does set me back £79.

Thoughts?

Hmm, maybe I wasn't clear hence no replies! :P

As you all know, the Samsung S27905D has no 3.5mm Jack for audio. The aim is to re-direct audio coming from a PS4 HDMI cable and send the audio coming from that cable, to a 3.5mm Jack (aka input for dedicated speakers).

This hdmi de-embedder sits between the console, and the monitor. So the middle box takes sound from the HDMI cable and sends to dedicated speakers at the same time sending visual signal to the Samsung monitor.

I'd obviously hope there isn't serious delay in the audio when being re-directed (as that would suck!) but this should explain the situation a little more.

Can't find anything on the internet about it!
