my cpu water filled fan just leaked all the water out over my mother board and gtx 670.
so i just purchased a new mother board and a new cpu fan, luckily it now boots but it cost me over £120 to fix,
only thing now is my 4 sticks of 2gigs of ram only work in the last two slots the other two slots dont seem to work,so now i only have 4 gig of ram,any ideas how to get the four ram slots working.:(

Assuming you've rules out faulty ram sticks, I'd suggest firstly resetting the BIOS and if that doesn't work, look for and install a BIOS update

fixed the competitors name,i down loaded and installed the newest bios, but its just the same, all four sticks work in the two end slots,so the ram is fine. could it be a faulty mother board,

overtightened cooler or bent cpu socket pins cause missing memory

hope you installed a new air cooler this time

yea no more water cooler for me,there is no bent pins its a i5 2500k cpu.
cant understand it dont really want to buy 2x4gig sticks.

tested each ram slot? one by one?

for dual channel and two sticks its second and fourth slot from cpu socket to front of case

so miss one/install,miss one/install

if i install any stick of ram in the first two slots the pc starts to boot up then shuts down and tries to boot again,

if none of the sticks work in the first two slots then something is faulty, either bent cpu pins or the board itself

try re mounting the heatsink as motherboard flexing can cause memory not to work(the actual flexing of the board)

I cant think whatelse you can try apart from the above as that usually cures it

it should boot into windows from any of the slots with just one ram stick

Overtightening on the posts can also cause problems, with up to nine fixing screws, I only lightly nip up the screws, never clamping down on the threads. That is even with a very heavy air cooler.

Try it outside the case and fit the memory before fitting the motherboard back into the case. That way on a flat surface you can ensure full engagement into the slot.

Also you may need to increase the voltages for the memory controller with four sticks of ram.

tried an increase in voltage ,but still would not boot,so i am going to exchange it for a
Asus P8H77-V LE Intel Socket 1155 Motherboard.if they let me.

Why don't companies fill these aio's with non conductive water? This isn't the first time I've heard of a aio leaking and destroying someone's computer.
