I've currently got carrots, sprouts and parsnips in the bottom drawer of my fridge, in big freezer bags (not sealed shut). I've just taken them out to dry them out a bit as I noticed there was a bit of condensation build up.. from past experience, if they get damp, they tend to go rotten pretty quick.... but I don't know if leaving them out for a while to "dry off" is just going to make things worse!

Carrots usually seem to go rotten on me pretty quick, so i'd appreciate any tips on the best way to store these veg until Christmas day! (don't really want to have to freeze them!)

Thanks! :D

All my veg arrived Friday. I'll just put them in a cool dark cupboard.

We've found even though all the Urban Myths about supermarkets irradiating and using gasses to preserve the fruit and veg for longer that what we get from Riverford lasts a lot longer.

Hmmm I really want to start ordering in fresh veg (and meat) in the new year - that looks lovely :D

(Assuming I actually have any money left after Christmas) :(

We were dubious but picked up a promotion from a show last summer and they have been really good, everything is in season and as much as they can UK grown and all organic, obviously the fruit box isn't UK grown apart from things like apples this time of year.

When it's delivered the house smells of lovely veg and the taste of the veg puts you right back onto veg dishes, I was sick of bland tasteless junk from the supermarkets, their meat is awesome as well but it's pricey.

Are they better than Abel & Cole? Used them for a while and got sick of being sent the same stuff and a lot of the time it was going off or was bruised up. Complained twice but the third time it happened I just told them to gtfo.
