i have had a gigabyte 780 ti since launch day and it is a awsome card very quiet under load aswel.
bit of an update ! a note on shader clocks: "Much like the GTX 680, the GPU core versus the shader processor domain are both clocked at 1:1, meaning both the core and shader domain clock in at a 863 MHz reference base clock frequency." source: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_780_review,2.html
So basically ignore shader clocks entirely its manufacturing/marketing BS.
What are you on about?![]()
At 1080p you don't need to spend £500-£600, it'd be better to go with a 290(non-x) or a gtx780 for £300-£400, put the money saved towards an upgrade of the CPU & mobo.
Is it possible to clock the gigabyte ghz 780 to ti speeds on air?
That's because the reference EVGA cards are naff. You'll have more luck with the Gigabyte ref cards because they don't bin them.
I'm happy with both my mom gpu and mobo even thinking of a 2nd may gpu
