£1,500 Gaming PC Build

I'm going to be mildly OCing the CPU to around 4.2-4.3 to begin with, will the included fans suffice? Also, from your experience how does the pre-applied paste compare to Arctic Silver / any other brand?

The fans will suffice, the H100i is the main factor in keeping the CPU cool and even its stock fans are SP120 based without the changeable rings.

The paste is a silver based type, I think is fine too.

Okay, as for GPUs I'm stuck with what one to buy. If I want to save money I can get the 280x or I could look at the GTX 780 / R9 290. Which one would you recommend?

One of the 290 windforce cards would be sweet. But they are £100 more than the 280X which as mentioned before are quick.

I mean, how do the R9 290 and GTX 780 compare? They're both in roughly the same price range so I was wondering which one performs better

I think I'm going to go with the R9 290, what is the difference between the fans on the Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X and OC WindForce? Which one would you guys recommend?

I've had a change of heart with the HDD, I'm going to get a 1TB drive and combine it with the 1TB I've already got in my existing machine. Does the MOBO I've got support RAID 1 so that I can mirror to the older drive? Also, for RAID 1 does it matter if the two hard drives are different make? They'll be the same size (1TB each) but different speeds (my current one is a 3Gb/s SATA whilst the new one will be 6Gb/s).

And also if I'm primarily going to be gaming and this i7 + H100i bundle isn't in stock (I don't think it is, when I go to buy it the checkout tells me out of stock), would it be better to go for an i5? The only real reason I'm going for the i7 atm is because the bundle offer is nice.

WAIT!

Im a genius:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i7-4770K 3.50GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM £249.95
1 x Corsair Hydro H110 280mm High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060014-WW) £94.99
Total : £354.54 (includes shipping : £8.00).

The OEM GPU saves you £20, the H110 is a bigger H100i and will fit your case (280mm rad). :)

But you can't use the SP120's on them..

EDIT: With the money saved, go for this motherboard and RAM set:
