Merry Christmas Matt, enjoy your new toys over Christmas.* :D

Everything is crossed.

The first job of LT will be to fine tune clock settings, voltage settings and case airflow to tame the heat and noise from the reference fan.

I enjoyed doing that with the 7990 immensely.

Would sli 780 run ok on an 850w psu? Noticed that the rev 2.0 wf 780 uses x2 8 pin power connectors while my rev 1.0 model uses a six and an eight pin.

If it's the HX 850 then yes. An adapter might be needed as I think the HX has 2 x 8 and 2 x 6 Pin cables.

Cheers guys, this unit is over 5 years old now and has powered a few pretty heavily oc'd systems.

I'm using a TX850, not had any problems. Even when highly OC. HX should be fine too.

What's your total power draw when gaming or benching? Ive yet to check with my current 780 but my sli 670's maxed at 586w running 3dm 11, total system draw at the wall.

I've no idea, I don't care enough to measure it. It only bothers me when I have issues, of which I have had none so far.

That's pretty impressive MOOG. I was expecting it to be a good bit more than that. For games id be running pretty mild oc's as wf cards in sli tend to get pretty hot as ive found. Besides my current one isn't a great clocker anyway.
