Not trying to wind you up or anything but noted the ammo resupply costs...do you really need to run with prem ammo on the Rhm...?

Currently grinding through the Sfl V (one of worst grinds ever for me) and unless top tier have had to run almost entirely with prem ammo on the stock gun until researched the top cannon (58K xp!). Almost bankrupted me!

Please no flames and comments about learning to aim, weakspots etc...I know what I'm doing...the stock gun on the Sfl is just bad...poor pen, long aim time and very narrow traverse (meaning frequent aim time resets). The only positive is pretty decent alpha and gun depression which can help occasionally.

Hoping Rhm is going to be better!

I think most of the peoiple I know either free xp'd the whole tank (Im looking at you defrag!) or free xp'd the gun and grinded the rest. Stock gun is terrible.

I have 12(?) premium shells and the rest standard.
I was in a tier 10 battle with mainly tier 10s, few 9s and no tier 8s apart from their scout (I was platooning with a tier 9) so I thought "*** it I'm using these premium shells" and loaded them from the start. They are not needed but everyone is constantly firing premium at me, I have suggested ways to counter the balance of them on the wot forums but nothing happens so may as well join in. It was only about 5 days ago I loaded approx 30-40% of my ammo as premium in all my tanks, I used to just have maybe 4 or 5 premium shells in each.

In the above battle, I actually used all my premium rounds before killing the Obj.268, E-100, IS-8 and JagPzE100. I killed them with normal rounds ;)

Heh, I look half asleep for most of the battle because I was chatting on TS about the new DayZ etc so wasn't really in 'game mode' until I realised victory hung on what I was doing :D

Are Locastan's Minimap, Smooth Scope Zoom, and Realistic Gun Sounds all okay to reinstall even though they aren't updated to this patch?

On a RHM the excuse that people are firing premium at you is pretty weak :p

Even British tanks have a questionable need to use premium HESH to penetrate your 20mm armour.


I on the other hand when driving my M6A2E1 have every reason to load and use premium shells all day long.

The only thing it has ever had going for it is its 191mm frontal armour with almost no slope, when premium ammo became silver it lost that.

Even then, using premium ammo (245mm pen) it barely has more pen than a Lowe using normal ammo (235mm normal but 294mm using premium).

When using the 128mm on the Rhm you very very rarely need premium. The 150mm is a different matter.

I meant in every single tank I use ;)
So many people use it nowadays I'd be stupid not to join in.

I could have just used standard and I usually do, but seeing as it was all tier 10s and I didn't want to waste shots having them bounce I thought "what the hell". Plus on that map, I knew I'd be firing over 400m so aiming at week spots doesn't always mean hitting them :cool:
 
Also, the patch reset all your graphics settings and automatically set them to what it thinks you can run.

I on the other hand don't want shadows and random naff special effects so I now have to go through each setting turning things off again.

Whats with the crew experience. It now says some of mine are 116% or 110% etc. Some are above 100% without there first skill yet you can't select one so how do you know when your crew are eligible to select a skill.
Its royally foobar or is this a new "feature"?

I have a driver on 93% on his service record for training level yet the garage screen shows it as 102%!
