Xbox One - media from USB?

Hi guys,

I have plugged a usb stick into the Xbox which contains mp4s... Can't see anywhere to play it am I being daft? Certain folder structure required like the PS3 used to be?

PS4 doesn't support external HDDs or USB drives. Isn't the Xbox One the same?

Won't work. They figured everyone just wants to stream these days.

Oh ok... No way at all to play the files through it then? Not even if I start faffing with SkyDrive or something like that?

You can stream over network using Skifta from android/iOS.
I hope that an update introduces a better option and can actually browse from the Xbox like Plex or at worst like the 360 can.

I run Plex at home and this worked fine with the 360. Am I right in thinking that I can't browse and stream my Plex library from the Xbox One? I have looked all over for the option but can't find anything.

Turns out you can use SkyDrive although its quite limited...

Shame I can't actually use SkyDrive since it says it has encountered a problem and needs to be shut down :rolleyes:

The Xbox One can not at the moment browse any DLNA or server, so have to play from or use a DLNA shifter.

PS3 Media Streaming Server... Works with XBOX too.
