Every time this question comes up I'm reminded of my old, horrible teacher at primary school. We'd just returned to school after the Christmas break and she asked us "Who watched the queens speech on Christmas Day?". When nobody put their hand up she went absolutely mental at the whole class. We were only about 8 years old.
 
Why does the biggest state scrounger gets to address the nation on Xmas day?
