Whoop you are a quick one. Now as you enjoy being so servile, polish my boots. After that, you can clean my toilet.
Did the queen make you do all this ?
I saw the thread title and knew the same old posters would be in moaning as normal.

Why do you bother posting?
Because it is a forum to express views. If people get all upset because somebody has disagreed then they need to realise that people have different, and valid, viewpoints.
Why not just say you don't like her?Do I watch the Queen? Do I heck, like. Sod her and her cronies.
Hypocritical much? But do not criticise those who don't.
See? He's posted his opinion without being offensive about it. It's that easy.Sho said:Another Christmas related thread.
As for queen speech. No. Never have and never will.
Interesting that you'd see this as a sense of humour failure. That would indicate that there was something funny in it in the first place. As a republican and someone who would like to see our monarchy consigned to history, I have no problem ridiculing the Queen or her family. In fact I think it's a crucial part of fighting for change. The first step in challenging any authority and emancipating yourself from it, is the ability to laugh at it.
Now you can throw around the term 'morons' to me and others all you like, but maybe your time would be better spent searching for your sense of humour.![]()
The first step in challenging any authority and emancipating yourself from it is to laugh at it (as an aside for a different topic probably, but lets face it the monarchy don't have any authority any more)? Your rather over the top emotive language aside, do you genuinely think that? You wouldn't go for something simpler such as say questioning it, before starting to ridicule it?I have no problem ridiculing the Queen or her family. No. I have no interest in her or watching tv on Christmas day.

But that's what Xmas is about!
NB: this might be an example of sarcasm.
Typical Frenchman, and no you can't cut off their heads.

NB since the thread took the predictable downturn, this was meant in jest.

There is plenty of worthwhile comedy ridiculing the Royal Family, there certainly isn't any of it in this thread. Nor these forums as a rule, people generally just enter the monarchy related threads to point out either how useful they are or how much a waste of space they are.

If they let the Duke have free run on a speech then yes I would tune in.
Duke E unplugged and unplanned.
It would be nice to try and understand your point of view but if you don't feel like you can debate it that's fine.
