This is weird, just checked GPU-z and one of them appears to be a 290x already? Unless its ULPS playing silly buggers? Mind you ive never seen ULPS increase the shaders and texture units before, but i have seen it decrease the memory bandwidth as shown. Not sure why gpu-2 has an asic rating of 0% though. :D

Once ive reinstalled afterburner ill disable ULPS and see if anything changes.

Ok with ULPS off the second card shows the correct numbers of shaders and TMU's. :D

EDIT

And has an asic of 77.9%. Very similar to my other card, thats a good sign.
 
According to the link someone gave me, doesn't look like they unlock. Not too bothered was i was going to buy the 290 MSI Pro cards before these became available at £60 cheaper.

Unlucky :(
If they did I was very tempted to place an order for a couple, even at £24 each more than yesterday's Today Only price.

Either you were unlucky or it seems they've done it 'proper' in the new batches and it was just a rush to get the 290s out on release day that saw some people get lucky.

Still, not a massive loss, nice boost for free but not worth paying the extra for a full 290X, IMHO.
Unless you're a bencher, or Kaap, or both...

Btw, I like the pics. The colour of the cooling sinks on the motherboard looks very nice. :cool:
