Jaguar XF 3.0d R-Sport

Also, what's the ride like on the 3.0D S? Do the 20" rims make it pretty hard?

I now find the ride in my E46 M Sport too hard.

On a test drive, I found an XF on 19" rims to be really comfortable.

Thanks,

Mal

Portfolio has the top spec B&W or Meridian system in it, depending on MY, suede cloth head lining, premium floor mats and they have different wheel designs. Unlike the pre-facelift the standard kit on the DS is almost identical between the two.

I find the ride much better than my old BMWs even on the 20's and the active suspension gives a couple of options the normal day to day driving and the much stiffer Dynamic Mode.

The XF is an ok car. It's very dated now though. Crappy touch screen infotainment is dire and just meh. If you must buy one, don't get a new one. Simple as that

Its very dated??? Ok the infotainment isn't the best, but its still works, and gives access to all the functions fine, but the sound quality from the system is still one of the best. Its still has one of the nicest interiors, is the best looking and best driving cars in its class.

'Very dated' compared to what?! Compared to most cars on the roads its a modern car in every aspect.

My XF 3.0 DS is on 20's - I was a bit worried it would really compromise the ride quality, but it's absolutely fine.
I wouldn't have ordered them myself if buying from new, but they do look good !

20's are standard fit on all XFS apart from the Luxury which has 19's

They all look very nice, in fact I was looking at the Portfolio one myself earlier this morning! Lancaster sent me an email this morning saying they have a January sale on as well as offering 2 years free servicing which was why I was looking. Maybe worth checking out to see if they will reduce that £3k difference down a bit and get that one.

Both the PL's are MY12.x cars and don't have parking camera, the Porfolio is a MY13.x car as its has the meridian system and the parking camera so would be my preference. Oh and the amethyst black colour is spectacular in the metal and is a cost option even on the Portfolio.

It's beautiful and with the fantastic N57 engine only 0.4 seconds to 60 behind the 3.0DS Jag ;)

It wasn't a serious suggestion mind, just happened to find it and thought 'Thats like an XF only not from the previous decade' :p For me thats the problem with big money on an XF - they are pretty old now, they came out back when the competition was the E60 and the W211 E Class. This is why I'd be far more comfortable with the idea of a £20k one.
