Anyone else spending Christmas alone this year?

First time, and I'm going to make damn sure it's the last too! :(
Ex moved out completely on Sunday night, family don't really celebrate Christmas, though I'm seeing my dad for an hour or so later.

But waking up alone, in an empty flat.....right in the feels :( Not a single present was had that day. My Christmas dinner will mostly involve Old Rosie cider and whatever I can be bothered to cook.

To anyone else in this situation, I raise a glass to you, we're gonna make it! Roll on the 27th :p

Merry Christmas OcUK

It could be worse, you could be homeless !

(I don't celebrate Christmas either, because everyone else is doing their thing, it means the world almost stops for the day and it is quite boring!)

Is where you sitting dry and warm?>

DO you have power?

Cause right there your having a better chrimbo than thousands of families today.

We should organise a "forever alone" OCUK Xmas Day party or something...must be others in this situation that want a bit of company.

An idea for next year. :)

Lol guys, wasn't implying I'm having the worst Christmas in the world. Just asking if anyone else is spending Christmas alone this year. Kick me when I'm down bros, I was homeless, I'd totally pee through your letter box

I've spent most of the last 15 or so christmasses on my own, don't really care anymore, never was one for modern christmasses, to be honest, I'd rather be working, than sat around feeling miserable.

Bulk of the people I know, spend christmas the same way anyway, complaining about the in-laws, getting drunk, feigning joy at receiving the same naff gifts each year.. and by the end of the week, "never again!!", and in 12 months time, they'll do it all again like sheep.

That still won't change the way he feels though. There is always someone worse off than you if you look for it but that won't necessarily make you feel better.

Then stop getting everyone else down and posting about it, theirs people that just ask for "misery attention".

I do it every year. Couldn't really care less that it's Christmas.

Bought the girlfriend a present and will go her place for drinks later that's a bout it.

I always go for a ride and have a Chinese on Christmas day.

Same here mate, woke up (ermmmm) in work this morning back to the flat no presents! Made some eggs and bacon. Back to work tonight. Dem feels.

Not that bothered though.

Yup! Most of my family live a fair distance away and couldn't get any additional time off to go visit. I don't really mind as I don't celebrate Christmas anyway. Just meant I;m able to spend the entire day watching Futurama :3

I'm sort of in the same boat, woke up alone but saw family during the day. Now alone in the flat again. Kinda sucks, but then i'm not a big fan of christmas so it's much of a muchness.

Instead of painting spending Christmas day alone as "sad" or "lonely" you should celebrate the peace n quiet works fine for me. Santa dropped off at his predictable 5am spent the day building a pc went for a walk by the sea ..... now home with my face spot welded to a giant box of chocolates, music on and planning a boxing day mad dash around some sales sheer heaven :)
