nexus 7 2013 worth the cost over 2012

Hey all

My son finally destroyed my laptop with a healthy dosing of juice today and after playing on the nexus 7 I got for my niece I'm left wondering whether I get another 2012 model at £99 or stump up the extra cash and get the 2013 model?

I only really use my laptop for forum browsing and am wondering whether I'd be best sticking to the 2012 model or if the 2013 one is a significant improvement?

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 2012 doesn't support HDMI out? Can see it being useful for a bit of big screen gaming on the odd occasion!

I think the tablets in general are great though! This is my first decent play on one and I've used it loads, so has she and its still going!!

I got my Mum the 2012 edition for Christmas, I am quite impressed with it. If it was for myself I'd get the new one as I'm a sucker for specs and a nice screen

If they are around remotely cheap tomorrow / in the next few days I'll pick up a 2013! Just hope the stock of the 2012 ones doesn't run out as I'll kick myself!

Certainly. 16GB is just too small these days for anything useful.

I think if your buying now i really think u should pay the extra for the 2013 due to programs/games getting more demanding (would be disappointing if you got it and couldn't run things you wanted or was all juddery) but if u can't afford the extra I can't see u being disappointed with the 2012 model.
