The royals cant stand the ordinary person and yet ordinary people are defending them, People over here have no pride.

Met her, and she was really very nice. Had a good long chat with her and just thought she was a pretty normal down-to-earth kinda person really. Maybe I'm not "ordinary" ;)

I watched it. I thought it was a bit odd the photo she ended up choosing was the one without Kate. Kate's probably the best thing about the royal family. I think they should have used the photo with her in it.

I suppose in the Queen's eyes though Kate is just a common wench that was required to give William an heir and keep the monarchy going.

I don't really get the hatred for the royal family, I've also noticed the only people that moan about them are those whose sole job it has become to oppose it, and the rest are normally people unhappy with how their life has turned out and look at how the royals live their lives and feel jealous. There's plenty of people far less deserving than the royals that have far more money and do far less but nobody gives two hoots about them. At least the royals use their influence of position and power to become heads of charities and champion good causes.

Also all the people that say we shouldn't have a monarchy, well if we were to get rid of them, they would still be alive and still own all the land they have, except they simply wouldn't give our government any tourism money, we wouldn't pay the measly £40M (and don't for a second be so naive as to think you would see that 61p back in your paycheck) a lot of business reliant on tourism would start to fail, GBP would fall to EUR and USD, we'd probably end up in the Euro. Don't change something that isn't broken. Nobody is worse off for having the Royal Family, a lot would be worse off if it were to be abolished though.

lol lol lol

We're second to Germany at worst. Not to mention plenty of other European countries still have their own monarchies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchies_in_Europe

England is not second please don't talk such absolute bull, I have lived and worked in Germany and it is far ahead of England, And England is way down the list, Don't misunderstand me I like England and I have a lot of really good friends here but from personal experience and colleagues I have talked to that have lived/worked in Germany have said the same thing, England is very far behind.

Well so far we're both talking unsubstantiated nonsense. You can't just say you've been to Germany and had a better time therefore the UK is way down 'the list', it's anecdotal at best and moronic at worst. Show me your list and I'll show you mine!

I will not be watching it, I have no interest in the royal family what so ever. I do not see the point of having a monarchy but apparently they bring in more money to the country than they cost, so we may as well keep them.

Don't worry mate, you've already missed it.

It's not nonsense, I am stating facts, It's not just that "I had a better time" Germany has the highest standard of living in Europe where as England has some of the lowest.

Far behind on what metric? If I've missed it then apologies but without knowing what you're measuring against it's difficult to rank countries with any degree of accuracy.

Standard of living, Wages, Price of utilities, Public transport, Get the idea ?
I grew up in England and didn't think any different until I moved to Germany and I was shocked at how well the ordinary working man/woman can live when compared to the working man/woman of England.

the lads who work over there don't think that much of it besides the plentiful whores and beer and the extra pay of course.
