Any garages likely to be open today?

I did laugh yesterday when an RAC van turned out at the neighbours, orange lights flashing away, to fit a spare wheel to one of their cars
 
I see that all the time, Making sure they get their moneys worth :p

Got it pumped up so going for a quick drive around the major places to see whats open.

It is not the designers fault! Blame the Government/Ecotards :mad:

Not having a spare knocks off quite a few kilos, Also, not having a spare means not "Needing" a jack or a wheel brace! (Thats a couple of kilos more)

All of which contributes to keeping the vehicle weight down and shaving off the odd gram/KM of that, all important, CO2!

Sod whether or not this is actually in the best interests of the vehicle owners! :(

You don't get a spare but get a complete jack and brace set with wheel chocks! Bit silly to include one and not the other :D

Citroen are silly, Just like their clever idea of putting the air filter down the back of the engine so you can't access it lol

I have come across several No Spare/No Jack vehicles recently, I was just assuming that this particular citroen was the same. In any case expect it to become more common in the future for the reasons given (Along with reduced capacity cooling systems, Windscreen wash reservoirs and even oil sumps!)

There is a "Certain" sense in having no spare on vehicles with directional wheels, but it would still be much better to have an omnidirectional spare rather than no spare at all!

(I have chosen that set up on my old land-cruiser)
