PC Gaming Pad Choices?

I've recently got back into low spec pc gaming, point and click / action adventures etc but with being sat using a keyboard and mouse all day at work I'm after gaming on the TV, my joints just can't take the abuse anymore! :eek:

Can't wait for a steam box but yes for the time being I'm a little stuck.

I have xbox 360 pads available to me and ideally i'd love to use these on my gaming box so I purchased one of the Chinese wireless receivers on ebay. I ended up getting a refund due to spending the best of a day and half trying to get the thing to sync with 3 different pads on three different systems and tried everything under the sun to get it working. In the end the seller and I determined it was simply faulty and my faith in a replacement was lost so yes, refund and now I have nothing!

I've been keeping my eye out for an official wireless received but still haven't managed to get hold of one, so do I have any other options? And now, waiting isn't one of them ;-)

I take it none of your pads are wired, only wireless?

Loads of wireless receivers around £15 (official one). Would definitely get one for you pads.

How about ps3 or ps4 pad and get yourself Bluetooth dongle?

The only wise choice is that you go and buy an official receiver. The 360 controller is optimal.

Either get a genuine 360 pad wireless receiver or an extra long USB cable.

Depending on how far away you sit from your PC, it might be almost as cheap / less hassle to just buy a wired XB360 pad. Mine cost under £18.

Had two for about two years now and never had an issue, even with 4 pads/guitars/mics linked up. (got mine from OCUK as well)

I have the wired 360 pad since Christmas and it's great. Feels good and works perfectly.

I also have a PS3, but the MS option seemed to be the right way to go for the PC.

Cheers all, I think I've got an old 360 game play and charge kit kicking around somewhere, didn't think of trying that? May dig it out in a moment.

Any chance of a link to a wireless receiver, still not having look finding an official one.

Edit - Just found some! Links are still welcome though, there are so many copies kicking around its unreal!

Also, can you map the analog sticks to a mouse control easily enough then?

I'd honestly prefer to buy one direct from a store (amazon, thehut etc) instead of a third party but there doesn't seem to be many, if any available.

Wired 360 pad all day long, I cant be bothered with the faff of batteries or charging etc. Im not sat 10+ feet away though!

I also recommend just getting a wired 360 controller, works great for me (plus the supplied cable was quite long).
