Autoglym wheel cleaner, wheel brush, clay kit (will clay it before the resin polish and HD wax treatment in the spring). Also a steam cleaner so I can more easily clean the engine bay

AutoGlym Super Resin Polish (must have about 3 litres of this stuff now!)

All of the above are fantastic, I love the aqua wax when I really can't be bothered to treat with much else. Smells fantastic and can even go on the glass, plastic etc. Water beads well on it too.

Quick query I have regarding the SRP. How much do you apply to your pad? I've been applying a small pea shaped amount per panel but not sure if i'm using too much/too little.

It buffs off easy enough and looks shiny but can't seem to find a definitive guide.

In my experience it depends on the condition of the paintwork. I find it is much better to put less (about the same that you have described), buff off and then repeat at least twice more. Each time the resin will more effectively fill any scratches and will leave a much better finish.

I would highly recommend extra gloss protection or even better the HD wax. They are both fantastic at sealing the polished finish in and making it last much longer (we are talking months here). The extra gloss protection is much quicker to apply than the HD wax.

Why do people keep buying me a stupid ice scraper key ring thing? I have 4 now, they are far too big to keep on keys and I have a perfectly fine one in my car. Also got a smelly tree thing.

I was expecting an Audi A3 Saloon on the 21st but there was a delay in building it. So instead they gave me a £37k Q3 to run around in until my car arrives...

Cheers for the advice. I always finish with extra gloss protection when I'm done and think I'll use the aqua wax for the wintertime when I don't have time to let it cure. Extra gloss is great, I've considered the HD wax but not sure I'd be able to apply it properly.

You absolutely can, but you must put the egp layer on first and then the HD wax. Otherwise the egp will remove the wax. Personally I don't see the point in using both - if you have the HD wax and a little bit of extra time, use that. If not, use egp.
