Looking for a new monitor. Don't know if to wait for g sync monitors to come out or go for a 144hz or wait for more 240hz monitors. Want at least a 1080p and running a inno3d 770gtx Ichill Hercules x3 4gb. It's for bf4 mmorpgs and Xbox one. Any recommendations.

I would wait until nvidia issues a full g-sync compatibility list before buying its unlikely you will be able to buy the addin board's separately and retro fit a screen.

If you are running a single 770 (That X3-name is confusing) I don't think you'll be seeing framerates near 144 or higher, especially in BF4. MMORPG's you might. Xbox runs games at 60hz or sometimes even less like 50/30.

It's a bit of a waste in my opinion unless you upgrade your PC or run at low settings.

Not sure if G-sync monitor will work with XBoxOne?

I read that those monitors will only work with Nvidia graphic card (which is frankly a bit ridiculous), and XBoxOne got AMD graphic onboard...

No, G-sync is NVidia techn only for PC's. It won't work with Consoles at all.

Thanks and the x3 thing means its overclocked and custom cooled gpu. I knew won't work with consoles but its mainly for shooters like bf4 or cod ghosts etc. Atm using a lg tv but see lag and tearing like mad hence why a upgrade is needed. In future wouldn't mind a second 770 has pc rig spec can run it minus psu.

You misunderstood what I meant. I read that the G-sync hardware on the monitor replaces the scaler as well, so the monitor "won't work at all" with anything but Nvidia graphic.

I've heard that as well, but it's not been confirmed.

I would assume all monitors, except the DYI-ASUS one will have two scalers in that case; one for Gsync, one for other uses.
